NIKOU LEARNING CENTER VISION &
PHILOSOPHY Nikou's Vision: To meet the physical, mental and social development needs of each child in order to build a foundation for success as adults. Our Philosophy: While your child is developing in Nikou Learning Center's atmosphere, it is our plan that he or she will enjoy the learning experience here:  Learning to live with
others. Increasing independence in meeting and solving
problems. Gaining skills in making positive and constructive
decisions. Becoming capable of implementing their own
ideas. Finding joy and self-esteem in their own
creativity. Exploring and discovering the wonders of a
child's world and how things work (science). Developing concepts
of time, space, shape and numbers in relations to a child's world (basic math
concepts). Helping the child to creat a foundation for language
skills that will help her/him to become verbally expressive and capable of listening
to others (communication skills). Understanding that "rules" are necessary and
even helpful. Developing gross-motor and fine-motor
coordination.It is Nikou Learning Center's goal to provide hands-on activities, as well as written, verbal, and mental development activities. The combinations allow for a fun, well-rounded educational environment. Nikou Learning Center teachers provide in-depth educational endeavors each week in their lesson plans that are posted for viewing by parents. |
